Hi!  I'm Carol Jennifer Myers-Hickman but to my family I'm  Jen.  At age 5-6 a family member began molesting me and this went on until I was 14 years old.  At around age 12, I began pushing my dresser behind my bedroom door at night to keep him out of my room.  I didn't realize it then but behind my dresser I found safety.  At the age of 24, married and a mom of 2, my then husband was physically abusing me.  I can recall times where I would go into our bedroom and push that same dresser behind the door until he cooled off, again finding safety behind my dresser.  It is my hope that Jen's Dresser will be a place of safety, security and hope for other girls and women.  Today I am married to a wonderful husband, I have 2 amazing children, a granddaughter and a great son in law.  I am the CEO and Founder of Superior Healthcare Training Center, an educational facility teaching classes in Nursing Assistant, with more classes coming soon!  I  am also the Founder of Jen's Dresser.  Although my beginning wasn't so great, I chose to use it to make me who I am today, and it is my goal to help other women who have been in my situation use their painful past to strengthen them as well, to provide a safe place for young girls to learn, grow and become everything they want to be as well as having a place for seasoned women to have socialization and to pour out their knowledge into every woman who is eager to learn grow and become unstoppable.
